Introducing
the old...and
new!
Our
second session started this week – welcome
to all the new families at Jump!
What’s
with the
same old….?
If you are a returning family, you may have noticed by now that you
hear about the same favourite things week after week – just a heads up,
that will continue!
Why do we stick with “Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes”, “Sizzle,
sizzle, POP” and all the others? It is not due to a lack of creativity
– its on purpose. Repetition is a very important part of helping
children develop physical confidence. Especially at the younger age -
they may go a whole session without doing the song/motions themselves
at circle time but you’ll notice them working through it on their own
at home. The framework – the songs and basic circuits - stay virtually
unchanged so that a variety of movements (now do that backwards, try
being a bear when you cross the ladder) can be introduced while still
seeming familiar and unthreatening.
New Kid on the Block
The newest big kid at Jump! is Mizuka
Nariya who will be
coaching on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. She’s got a wealth of
experience and is a
quick study when it comes to figuring out what makes your kids tick.
When you just can’t face
puddle-jumping, try Jump! Drop In for some bonus dry
activity
time.
Available only to Jump! registered families we are offering four Drop
In gym times this session for unstructured activity. Space
is
limited so please call ahead to reserve. Cost is $5/child or you can
purchase a punch card for 6 drop sessions for $25 (for insurance
reasons these cards are per child, rather than a family card). Drop in
is parent participation, so be prepared to take off those shoes and
join in.
Session 2
Drop In Times
(starts Nov. 25th)
Tuesday and Wednesday – 12:15 to 1:00pm
Thursday – 1:15-2:00pm and 5:00-5:45
Celebrate your Leap Frog's
special day with a Jump! Party
Jump!
is now open for birthday parties.
Two qualified instructors will lead your child and their friends
through a
fun
and active hour of gymnastics instruction and games, before they move
on to the
party room for a second hour of birthday revelry.
